The remaining text comes in the form of testimonials in English, German, French, Italian, Swedish, Spanish, Czech, Hebrew, and Polish (all of the testimonials appear to be different and the text is not bilingual or multilingual; that is, each testimonial is only printed in one language). The testimonials commend Father Koenig's Nerve Tonic (likely a patent medicine) manufactured by the Koenig Medicine Co. The Tonic is used to treat "nervous" ailments such as insomnia, anxiety, agitation, and epilepsy. The illustrations each come with a very brief caption that identifies the mission being pictured. The missions illustrated herein are Mission San Diego, Mission San Antonio de Padua, Mission San Carlos, Mission San Juan Bautista, Mission San Carmelo, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Mission San Gabriel, Mission Santa Barbara, Mission San Luis Rey, Mission Nuestra Senora de la Soledad, Mission San Fernando, Mission Dolores, Mission San Luis Obispo, Mission San Buena Ventura, and Mission St. Augustine (the only mission shown herein that is located outside of California; it is in Florida)..
