A nice bright copy in non-price-clipped double-spread dust wrapper, the publisher's laminate lifting a fraction in one or two places, and with a hint of edge-wear, one tiny closed tear, a lengthy vertical crease to the front flat and some internal spotting. The author's second novel, written fifteen years after he dropped out of Eton, which he later characterised as "an excellent preparation for vice of any kind" (cf. the bulk of the current Tory government)..
