288 pages (complete). A sure and certain copy. This book was published some six years after his execution by the Bolsheviks. At the time of publication his friend and journalist, Sir Robert Bruce Lockhart was lauding his own and Reilly's exploits against the Bolsheviks. Reilly, who was a tirelessly daring, effortlessly indefatigable spy during the first decades of the twentieth century, not only attained almost mythical status, but was also used by Ian Fleming as a model for James Bond. The boards of this copy are deceptively mild. They have some wear and scuffing and rubbing and marks. They are sound and sure. Within, the contents are in excellent condition. The frontispage has been removed. The contents are vividly thrilling, clean, clear, confident, assured and, considering the age of the book, as if barely read. fk. Book Condition: Very Good.
