Two fliers made from media artist Violet Ray's 1960s collages of magazine advertisements and images from the Vietnam war. Ray began the series "Advertising the Contradictions" in 1966, juxtaposing images of satisfied American consumers with the horrors of the ongoing war. Fliers made from this series were often handed out at anti-war demonstrations. Two reproductions are included here, "Revlon adopts the oh-baby face" and "It's like opening a present." 11 x 14 inches.
