A very good/near fine copy in the original blindstamped dark blue cloth, 2cm snag to rear hinge, light wear to extremities, contents clean tight and virtually unread, fore-edges and lower edges uncut. The extremely scarce Fisher Unwin issue of the Henry sheets, with a cancel title page. Less than 300 copies of the original 1896 Henry edition were sold before they went bankrupt, and Fisher Unwin acquired the sheets. Only one copy of a transitional state with the Henry title page and Fisher Unwin imprint at foot of spine is known to exist, so one must assume that the balance of the Henry sheets were issued with the cancel titles. Presumably the Henry printings in total were very small, and it seems that this issue may be even scarcer than the Henry originals. Whatever the number, it was not until 1908 that a second printing was done. The book is of course Nietzsche's most influential and accessible work.
