Original publisher's multicolored pictorial paper wrappers with staple binding. Folded into thirds vertically; panels are printed on front and back. Illustrations on two of the outer panels show ships in a harbor and a New Zealand landscape with a mountain in the background. No date, circa 1925. 4" x 9 1/2" folded. Four leaves with three panels each printed front and back, complete. A few black-and-white illustrations and decorative illustrations printed in orange ink, complete. Brochure is very clean and intact except for light age toning, darkening on outer panels, and slight wear to extremities. A Very Good copy. Promotional brochure featuring New Zealand that encourages tourism to the country. Descriptions herein are brief but name many points of interest in New Zealand. Text in the beginning notes the different routes one may take to reach New Zealand. Text then praises New Zealand for its natural beauty and briefly notes the Dutch explorer, Jans Abel Tasman. The text proceeds like a tour and takes readers on a journey (through very brief descriptions or references) of some of New Zealand's many points of interest such as Cape Reinga, the lighthouse at Cape Maria van Diemen, the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland Harbour, Tiritiri Island, Rangitoto, city of Auckland, One Tree Hill, Mount Wellington, the Waitakereis, Kaihu National Park, Waipoua State Forest, the Bay of Islands, Rotorua Lake, Lake Taupo, Ngauruhoe, Waitomo Caves, Taumarunui, the Wanganui, Pipiriki, New Plymouth, Napier, Tararua Ranges, Cook Strait, Mount Cook, Christchurch, Canterbury Plains, Lake Wakatipu, Resolution Island, Doubtful Sound, Manapouri, and Stewart Island. Excerpt from the first two panels of text: "[W]onderful thermal regions cover a wide area in the centre of the North Island, where volcanoes, geysers, boiling springs, and countless other manifestations of nature's titanic hidden forces are manifest.
