Vol. II: 342 pages, one additional page in back advertising other books by the author. Former owner's bookplate tipped in on front pastedown: "Henry Edward Allison." Another former owner's signature in black ink on half-title of Vol. I, not affecting text and dated 1882. Pages and covers are very clean and intact overall. Binding is tight. Corners slightly bumped, slight edge wear, some rubbing, and spines slightly darkened. Pages have occasional foxing and small, light stains. Very Good copies. Biography of Jean-Jacques Rousseau by John Morley (1838-1923), a noted author and political commentator. Henry Edward Allison (b. 1937) is an American scholar of Immanuel Kant.
