Buy this book on-line Montgomery, Marion : The Wandering of Desire. (Uncorrected Proof)NY: Harper & Brothers Publishers, 1962., 1962
Uncorrected Proof of the author's first novel. Square 8vo. Unpaginated. Ring-bound with printed paper label front cover. Laid in is a ALS from Gerald Bechan dated October 23, 1973, Georgia College Library, to Marion Montgomery, sending him to proof which was part of Flannery O'Connor's personal library. O'Connor and Montgomery were very close. She wrote the jacket blurb for this novel and Montgomery went on to become the most astute and philosophically far-reaching critic of her life and writings with the books "Why Flannery O'Connor Stayed Home" and "Hillbilly Thomist. Flannery O'Connor, St. Thomas, and the Limits of Art." The front cover at the tabs is detached, but present, else this is a near fine proof. Very uncommon.. Book Condition: Near Fine.
