Internally: 22 original colored illustrations by Arthur Rackham tipped on, with tissue overlays. Plus black and white line drawings. Decorative endpapers. Gilded top edge. Fore-edge/bottom edge are deckled (uncut). Condition: Binding age darken/lightly soiled (spine a tad darker, lightly frayed and rubbed); light shelf wear, bumps to extremities (one more prominent to top cover at bottom extremity). Rear cover: Several short indents, perhaps from tight shelving. Edges age darken, with scattered old settled dust. Endpapers have some wrinkling; short tears to hinges. Former owner's name neatly printed on half-title page. Overall lightly age toned, scattered light foxing, several offsets. Illustrations are clear, no tears - all overlays in place. Book tight, no tears to joints. No writing/notations in text, no page tears, stickers, or bookplates. Not a former library book.
