Many small illustrations show scenes in and around Spokane. Principally black-and-white illustrations with brief accompanying captions. Among the subjects shown in the illustrations and described by the captions are street scenes, Spokane buildings, Riverside Avenue, Davenport's Restaurant, Spokane public schools, Spokane churches, Spokane Country Club, Spokane Amateur Athletic Club, Spokane Lodge, Spokane Interstate Fair, Lower Falls, Spokane parks and residences, and natural scenery in Spokane. Most of the pages also have decorative border illustrations printed in faint green ink. A brief introduction by L. G. Monroe of the Spokane Chamber of Commerce describes the founding of Spokane and the possible meanings of the name. The Fred B. Grinnell Company also advertised in front.. Book.
