Visually the exterior appearance is more than acceptable, and particularly internally, the book is in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation for an item of its age and ephemeral nature of production, i.e. a card+paper+cord and tippe-in paper etchings. It is only the exterior blemishes that prevents a higher grading overall.Despite that,it really is still an exceptional, exemplary example for its cleanliness, brightness, completeness and entirety. Margaret Holman's illustrations have appeared in many travel books and guides from all over the country during the 1920s and 30s.She had a close connection with Gloucestershire,as she illustrated two local books,'Aqua-Etchings of Cheltenham' and the other 'Aqua-Etchings of Tewkesbury'.
