With a self-portrait frontispiece drawing and fifty-five plates of line and collotype reproductions, and further illustrations in the text. The cloth faded at the backstrip, and with a sliver of further fading to one margin of the rear board. A very light scattering of spotting to the top and fore edge. Reynolds Stone-designed former owner bookplate to the front pastedown, and the inked name of a one further owner neatly inked to the head of the front free endpaper. A very good copy. No dust wrapper. A personal memoir of the artist, followed by two appendices, the first comprising five letters to the author from Guadier-Brzeska, John Quinn, Haldane MacFall, John Cournos, and R.H.Raymond Smythies; and the second a chronological list of exhibitions, 1913-1918..
