The first Taiwanese edition, printed from the US sheets but with a new title page omitting the US publisher imprint (although the Simon & Schuster logo is still present on an earlier leaf), and with the details of a Taipei publisher in Mandarin to the title verso. 8vo. 220pp. Green cloth lettered in gold at the spine. A narrow strip of toning to the front free endpaper. A very good copy in dust wrapper, which replicates the US design and pricing (6.95) but omits any imprint to the base of the spine. The sheets were presumably sent from the US, but the actual binding was done in-country which accounts of several binding variants from the US edition. The dust wrapper also is a slightly poor quality reproduction from the US original. A quite unusual edition of the author's first extensive autobiographical work.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good.
