The acid-free book paper is a special paper stock by Franklin Library, made to archival standards. Condition: Minor scuffs to gilt edges from handling, shelving; light bump to upper corners of preliminary pages (causing creases to corners); else overall Near Fine. Free of cracks, tears to binding chips to gilt, binding, writing/underlines in text, and page tears. Text is clear, readable/illustrations vivid. Book purchased, never read. Stored in temperature controlled room. Free of humidity stains and the smell of a previous smoker. In gift-giving condition. The publisher, Franklin Library (a division of Franklin Mint), published collectible books of high quality materials.
