Paper, letter, and handwriting are all clean and intact. Swan M. Burnett (1847-1906) was a physician, anthropologist, and husband of famed British American writer, Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849-1924). In this letter, Swan writes to a publisher about how Mrs. Burnett has already sold the rights to Mrs. Raymond for her book, That Lass o'Lowrie's.
