Text is brief but highlights different aspects of the county. Descriptions promote Alpine County as having the "recipe for relaxation" and ample opportunities for outdoor recreation such as game hunting and fishing. Text also briefly outlines the founding of Alpine County in 1864 and the origins of Markleevillle in the homestead of Jacob J. Marklee. The brochure also highlights camping as one of the county's other recreational activities, distances from Markleeville to surrounding cities or towns, and the accommodations offered by some of the county's destinations such as Markleeville, Woodfords, Blue Lakes, Sorensen's Resort, Lake Alpine, and Twin Lakes. Other subjects described are Alpine County's mining and ranching industries, climate, and local Indigenous culture. The entire interior of the brochure, when opened, features a black-and-white printed road map (measuring about 10" x 13") of Alpine County dated 1938. The map was printed from a hand drawing.. Book.
