Text is in German and English. Original publisher's red cloth binding with gilt decoration and lettering on the front cover. No date, circa 1900-1910. 5 1/4" x 6 1/4." Twelve unnumbered panels, complete. The panels are part of one accordion-style leaf that folds out from the book. Black and white illustrations printed on glossy paper, complete. Panels, illustrations, and covers are very clean and intact. Covers have some edge and corner wear. The illustrations show scenic views and landmarks in and around Hamburg, Germany. Some of the illustrations are full-page, others are panoramic and take up two panels, and the rest are smaller with two per panel. Among the views are the following: "General View and the Basin of the Alster," "Alsterarcades, the Reesendamm Bridge and the Old Jungfernestieg," "Hamburger Hof," "The German Theatre," "The New Town-Hall," "The Exchange," "General Post-Office," "St. Michael's Church," "St. Nicholas's Church," "The Railroad Bridge Across the Elbe," "New Bridge over the Elbe," "Sandthorquay," "Kehrwiederfleet," "The Harbour," "'Potosi.'
