Copper engraving, 39 x 51.5 cms, recent hand-colour, inset plans of Hertford and St Albans (Roman Verulamium), the latter showing a view of the exisitng settlemnet next to a bumpy enclosed field with the ancient town beneath, and antiquities representing the discovery of “pillers, pavements and Romish coynes, most certaine tokens of their abode” .
