Printed on fine linen, printed area 48.5 x 67.5 cms, green cloth slipcase embossed: “Flexible Map of London, sold by J. Tollworthy 122 Bishopgate St. Within.”
A version of Bacon’s New Map of Central London, dated to c. 1884 (see Hyde, Printed Maps of Victorian London, #201). Possibly Mr Gifford had the idea of issuing it in this durable, ‘flexible’ form.
