2 vols 8vo. pp. [xxxii], 264, [ii]; [xxiv], 191, [xii] + 5 unumbered leaves in the main body of the text (as usual). First issue (post est not corrected to potest, vol. II, p. 108) engraved throughout, lists of subscribers to each volume, numerous decorative head and tail pieces, vignettes and larger illustrations embellishing the text, generous margins, occasional staining including ink stains to fore-edge and some pencilled annotation. Eighteenth century mottled calf, handsomely rebacked, corners renewed. Later eighteenth-century bookplate of Henry Gale, engraved by William Darling (fl. 1769-99).
