312 pages (complete). First edition of the second Jeeves novel. This was dedicated to Raymond Needham KC. Wodehouse was often sought by tax authorities both in the United Kingdom and the United States. Indeed, he sought unwise tax exile in France later in the thirties. Needham successfully defended him in a tax case brought by the British taxman. This is a comfortable, if somewhat aging copy. The boards are a little dishevelled. They have wear, scuffing, marks. Nonetheless, they are sound and steady. The contents are foxed. The pages are comfortable, contented, mildly aging, engaging, still eager. fk. Book Condition: Good. Binding: Hardcover.
