Christmas 1985". 8vo. 448pp + [ii] publisher's advertisements. Brown cloth lettered and ruled in gold at the spine. Some occasional pencilled underlining and marginal marking, probably Montemuro's. A very good copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper, lightly faded at the spine panel and with a hint of edge-wear. Includes his plays 'The Misanthrope', 'Phaedra Britannica', 'Bow Down', 'The Bartered Bride', 'The Oresteia', 'Yan Tan Tethera', 'The Big H' and'Madea: A Sex-War Opera'. A very good copy of the first collected edition of these eight works, here handsomely enhanced by the author's contemporary presentation inscription to his great friend and regular National Theatre collaborator.
