Spine/backstrip with similarly coloured+lettered repeated author's name and title as the front's, and publisher’s white-lettered partial name [Collins] foot of same,rear panel of dw/dj with critic Stephen King's white-lettered glowing review.A portion of the dw/dj design [blobs/bubbles?] to head of spine/backstrip with a very light fade - rest of spine unaffected.Negligible shelf-wear and edge-worn to edges and corners – miniscule laminate curl/peel along top edges and rear corner's tip and similarly to foot of front's gutter fold/crease - but no other major nicks,tears or splits present; rear panel of dw/dj with minimal,superficial scoring/indents with no penetration to board below.Top+fore-edges reasonably bright but with minimal sporadic foxing/spotting; contents bright,tight,clean, solid and sound – near pristine with no dog-ear reading creases to any pages’ corners,appears unread other than my own collation.Publisher’s bright,crisp,clean,sharp-cornered - exception of rear,top corner tip with minimal bump and creasing - original plain royal blue cloth boards with bright,crisp,blocked silver gilt-lettered spine/backstrip,a b/w chequered headband,and immaculate plain white endpapers. Visually,the external appearance is more than acceptable,and particularly internally is in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation for a book of it’s 40+ year-old age.It is only the faults described that prevent a slightly higher grade overall. Despite that,it really is still an acceptable example for it’s brightnesss,cleanliness and lack of other/age acquired detracting faults usually encountered in a book of this age.             Twenty years ago two friends had come to the woods of Northern Vermont to learn the secrets of magic from a master magician.
