The illustrations are on one leaf of paper which folds into multiple panels. 5 1/2" x 6." Unpaginated, twelve panels. Many black-and-white illustrations, complete. Five-page descriptive pamphlet of San Diego (titled, "San Diego," and copyrighted 1886 by Ward Brothers of Columbus, Ohio) tipped in on back pastedown. Panels are clean and intact overall except for light age toning. Pages of back pamphlet are also very clean and intact but have some staining limited to spine which may be glue residue. Covers are clean and intact overall except for some rubbing and wear to edges and corners. Binding is somewhat loose but still strong and holding. A Good copy. A beautiful souvenir view book of San Diego, California. Predominantly black-and-white illustrations of scenic places in and around San Diego and some of its local inhabitants. Among the illustrations are a panoramic view of San Diego and San Diego Bay and depictions of Mission San Diego, Coronado Beach, Florence Hotel, Horton House, the California horned toad, calla lilies, date palms, a nearby ostrich farm six miles from San Diego, an orange-packing facility, the steamship Santa Rosa, a raisin vineyard, and Schneider's Building.
