Publisher's blue paper wrappers, 10.5 x 6.5 cm, printed on the front and back. Woodcut borders on wrappers, with woodcut illustration on front wrap and throughout text. Series information printed on front wrap; "Publications of the American Tract Society" printed on the back wrap. The wrappers are edge chipped and dust-soiled, with a closed tear to the back wrap. The tract has been lovingly, yet clumsily, re-sewn with string, with the insertion at the end of the poem 'A Hymn for Lucy, a Little Child' clipped from The Christian Register in 1834 (based upon notices printed on the verso).
