Thank you.*** Original description of the book: Copy of actor and composer Wedgwood Nowell, with his bookplate tipped in on the front pastedown. Original publisher's blue cloth binding with gilt lettering on front cover and spine. 5" x 7 1/2." 552 pages, complete. Bookplate is on brown paper and has printed black text that reads, "From the Private Library of Wedgwood Nowell, Hollywood, California." Pages and covers are very clean and intact. Binding is tight. Gilt lettering slightly rubbed on spine. A Fine copy. Theodore Dreiser (1871-1945) was an American author. His novels are known for depicting main characters who achieve their goals despite a lack of morals. The Titan is the second book in Dreiser's Trilogy of Desire which follows the life of a ruthless businessman named Frank Cowperwood. The first book in the trilogy is The Financier; the third is The Stoic. Wedgwood Nowell (1878-1957) was an American stage and film actor, director, producer, and composer.
