TWAIN, Mark. THE INNOCENTS ABROAD. London: Richard Edward King, n.d. Unauthorized edition; circa 1870-1880. 8vo., green cloth, gilt-stamped title to upper board and spine, blind-stamped border at top- and bottom- edges. Ink gift inscription from W. A. Chrysler on the ffep. (W. A. Chrysler should not be confused with the noted Twain collector Walter P. Chrysler; but, perhaps there is a connection.) The text leaves are very browned, and the book block is shaken. The cloth is edgeworn, especially at the crown and heel, and is sunned at the spine; also, there is a short tear at the heel. A scarce edition; it is offered as is.
