Kajima, and Prof. Burton for some of the images reproduced in the book. Each image has a caption printed below it, often followed by a brief explanatory text. Small folio. 36 x 26.8 cm (14 1/4" by 10 1/2"). Bound in elaborate boards composed of color illustrations printed on silk within patterned brocade frames and tied with purple ribbon. Gold speckled endpapers. A.e.g. A fine copy, bright and fresh in all respects. This title is seldom seen in this format and condition; it is more familiar in several smaller crepe paper versions, usually with only twelve illustrations in each, that bear the same title.
