Bright,glossy,watercolour pictorial artwork by Richard Chopping (one of the 9 'Bond' dw/djs watercolour artwork commissions) with a still life,trompe-l'oeil surrealist style,illustrated front panel and spine/backstrip of dw/dj,with red+black lettering to front and spine/backstrip,rear panel with publisher's advert for author's other published titles (beginning with: 'From Russia,With Love' to 'Casino Royale'); with negligible shelf-wear and creasing to edges and corners - no major nicks or tears present.Some miniscule bumping with reciprocal creasing to head of spine/backstrip along with the tiniest of snicks with resultant creases/creasing to front top edge of d/wj towards the vicinity of spine/backstrip's gutter's edge.Spine/backstrip is sunned/faded - orignal red title+author lettering almost to yellow.Three corners ubiquitously but minisculely rubbed,chipped with miniscule loss - the fourth,the front lower with an approx 1/2" closed tear on front fold of dw/dj's inner flap. Internal edges of dw/djs' two inner flaps slightly darkened.An approx 2.5" long water-stain internally to front fold of inner flap of dw/dj has bled through to both faces of the front panel and the front inner flap.Rear panel slight darkening to edges.Top edges slightly aged/toned,no noticeable foxing,fore-edges similar but without foxing/spotting; contents bright,tight,clean,solid and sound - near pristine - no intentional dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners,appears unread - apart from my own collation.Brilliant white pages includes page edges; text body and endpapers all virtually foxing-free - certainly one of the sharpest and cleanest - internally - copies I've handled.Production fault of incomplete trimming of page fore-edge of pp41/2's bottom corner leaving extra paper which is folded back on itself,and the preceding page (pp39/40) with an accidental lower corner crease.Publisher's bright,crisp and clean,sharp-cornered - none bumped - publisher's original black cloth baords with bright,crisp,blocked white eye vignetted front board and bright, crisp,blocked gilt lettering to spine/backstrip and immaculate,virtually unblemished,plain white endpapers - merest hint of off-set foxing from inner flaps to free endpapers.UK,12mo HB+dw/dj, 1st edn,2nd impression,9-252pp [paginated] includes this collection of 5 short stories: 'From a View to a Kill', 'For Your Eyes Only', 'Quantum of Solace', 'Risico',and 'The Hildebrand Rarity'; plus [unpaginated] half-title page with potted precis,title page with red ink title,a contents list/table and red inked title separator page.Three of these stories have been the basis for films FYEO, FaVtaK and QoS.8th Bond title and uncommon.
