Studied at Camden School of Art.Worked as an illustrator for the Amalgamated Press (1893-1947).Painter in oil and watercolour and children's book illustrator. His draughtsmanship was uneven, and, lacking a definite style of his own, he tended to absorb the styles and mannerisms of others - e.g.,some of his b/w work is reminiscent of H.R.Millar and his full colour work at times resembles that of Arthur Rackham, Anne Anderson or Charles Robinson.
