Original publisher's multicolored wrapper with an illustration by Solomon J. Solomon showing a knight riding a horse through the water with the personification of Victory behind him. Back cover has multicolored advertisement for Baker's Chocolate and Cocoa by the Walter Baker and Company. 11 1/4" x 16." Forty-eight pages, complete. Many black and white illustrations and advertisements throughout magazine, complete. Pages are very clean and intact. Pages 9 and 10 have a tear on the edge but text is still legible. Woman's Home Companion is a monthly magazine that includes short stories, serialized fiction, and current news and covers topics such as housekeeping, sewing and crafts, and the latest fashion trends of the time. Woman's Home Companion was very successful and ran from 1873-1957. This issue has many fictional short stories.
