The Lincoln Kinsman was a monthly publication about Abraham Lincoln and the Lincoln genealogy. Fifty-four issues were published in total. Louis Austin Warren (1885-1983) was a minister who spent his lifetime researching and writing about Abraham Lincoln and his family and was Director of the Lincoln National Life Foundation. This number begins with a speech Abraham Lincoln gave in New Jersey on his way to Washington, D.C. where he would be inaugurated as U.S. President. Within the speech, Lincoln expresses how he is moved by New Jersey's history and its involvement during the Revolutionary War. Excerpt from this number: "How much more deeply would Lincoln have been impressed upon this visit if he had known that some of the very New Jersey land over which the Revolutionary soldiers had advanced was the property of his own ancestors." In addition to the Lincoln family, this number gives brief biographies of different families related to the Lincolns including the Saltar family, the Bowne family, and the Holmes family. In the back is a genealogical list showing the first two generations of the Holmes family, the first three generations of the Bowne family, and the first six generations of the Saltar family.. Book.
