A good copy only, the title page, which may have been the original wrapper, worn, stained and strengthened with paper on verso; the text browned and lightly stained. 70 pages: we are unable to establish whether this is in fact complete. No copy is recorded in the South African Bibliography (only a much later 1860 printing, which has 60pp). Of the utmost rarity, this is the only example of this early Cape printing to appear on the market. We are unable to trace any copy in auction, or indeed in any private or public collection. The work is a well-know Dutch religious work, which went into many printings throughout the nineteenth century. Even early Dutch printings are somewhat scarce.
