Ribbon has made shadow lines on one plate, but not terribly offensive. Museum ex-lib., Text in French. Beautiful color plates, an engraved illustration on the title page and on 50 text pages. Could be rebound, or plates could be framed individually. Despite its condition, the book is lovely. With illustrations by Henri Gervex, J.A. Gonzales, L. Kratke, Albert Lynch, Adrien Moreau and Felicien Rops. The 10 essays are satires about the womens' postitions in society throughout time.
