On offer is a super, original 1942 typewritten manuscript relic of the Burma Campaign waged between British and Indian forces against Japanese and Thai forces being a fascinating account of a group of Allied soldiers in making the dangerous trek out of Burma to Assam. This eyewitness account includes part of a statement from the commanding officer of the unit against one soldier for the purposes of a court martial, original photos of the areas they passed through and members of the unit, and a diary account of the month-long trek, along with handwritten additions regarding the state of personnel who dropped out along the way (a number did die from various illnesses etc). Many of the people mentioned in the account are on the website that specifically lists personnel of the Indian Army Ordnance Corps. Included are four photocopies that came with the original. Condition: The original is very foxed and tatty round the edges, but the photos are still in place and good condition, and the text is easy to read. The staples are rusting and it is coming apart slightly so it's best to keep it as is and read the photocopies..
