Likely compiled in occupied France this 60+ page handwritten journal uses newspaper clippings, photographs, post cards, other drawings and charts and statistics to create a near encyclopaedic work of France's naval status from the early 1930s to about 1942 including the various classes of ships, ships' identification, nomenclature, strengths and capabilities etc. The author used an 8¾ x 6¾ inch alphabetical 'Repertoire' book using about half.
