Bright,crisp,clean,sharp-cornered publisher's original blue cloth bds with 3-colour block (blue,pale blue+black) illustrated pictorial decoration within a pale blue single lined border to front bd with black lettering,spine/backstrip with similar colour block vignette with pale blue lined border and black lettering; with negligible shelf-wear or creasing to edges and corners - no nicks,tears,splits or fraying present.Both head+foot of spine with ubiquitous bumping and reciprocal creasing,the plain white endpapers fairly clean with free endpapers having slight off-set shadow foxing from respective pastedowns.Top edges surprisingly and remarkably clean and bright with virtually no foxing/spotting,nor dust-soiling,fore- edges with minimal,sporadic foxing/ spotting but still fairly bright and clean; contents bright,tight and clean solid and sound apart from the first(?) signature (title page to pp16 inclusive) cracked,but still attached,a similar fault/imperfection to the frntis - but no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners,would appear unread - apart from my own collation.UK,12mo HB,1st edn,iiipp+
