Original publisher's multicolored, pictorial paper wrappers with staple binding. Front cover features a composite illustration showing four different view in and around San Diego, California. The illustration showing a port represents the city of San Diego, the center illustration with ornate buildings represents the Panama-California Exposition, and the right-most illustration with orchards represents San Diego County. "San Diego, California" printed at the top of the front cover. No date, circa 1915. 6 1/2" x 9 1/2." Unpaginated, thirty-two pages, complete. Many small, black-and-white illustrations, complete. Faint, purple stamp of the "California Development Board, San Francisco" on front cover. Pages are very clean and intact except for slight bumping at the lower-right corner of the fore-edge. Covers are clean and intact overall but have some wrinkling and a closed tear measuring about 3/4" from the fore-edge on front cover (tear affects part of the San Diego County illustration). A Very Good copy. A promotional booklet for the city of San Diego, San Diego County, and the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. The pamphlet highlights places of interest including the city's harbor, orchards, and groves; the city's commerce and business potential; transportation; county districts; and the ongoing construction of buildings in Balboa Park for the upcoming Panama-California Exposition. Each section has about one paragraph of text explaining the subject. The Panama-California Exposition was held from January 1, 1915 to January 1, 1917 in San Diego to celebrate the opening of the Panama Canal and to promote the city of San Diego as the first port of call in the United States for ships traveling northward once they passed westward through the canal..
