Two volumes (complete). A third volume of this history of Scotland (requested by his Edinburgh publisher, Archibald Fullarton) was intended but never finished. These copies are acceptably worn and aged. Quarter leather. Marbled boards. The boards are much worn all about. They are rubbed, scuffed, marked too. The leathered corners and spines are also worn, benign, placid. Both the boards and the spines are assured and sure. Within, the pages are gently aged. Hand press-printing. The contents, although showing signs of wear and of years, are comfortable, clear, genial. All plates etc are present. The pages are contented, certain and competent. fk. Book Condition: Good.
