He is best remembered for his popular "History of the United States." In this letter to Luther Bradish (1783-1863) Spencer thanks Bradish for a recent compliment and offers him his editorial servic3s. Bradish at the time of the letter had just been elected President of the American Bible Society. Bradish was also a lawyer, diplomat and a New York state elected office holder.. Manuscript.
