Small illustrations printed in black and blue ink, complete. Pages and covers are virtually pristine and intact. Binding is tight. A Fine copy. A beautiful booklet published by printers Bowne & Company, a modern recreation of a printing shop from the latter half of the nineteenth century in New York. The introduction gives some background on Bowne & Co. and describes the remainder of the book as being a facsimile reprint from The Book of Trades, a nineteenth-century book that illustrates the tools and methods of nineteenth-century printing. Back colophon: "This edition of 250 copies was designed, handset, and printed by Barbara Henry & Lissa Dodington in Compressed Roman No. 3 and Columbia Roman and Italic, with card Mercantile titling at Bowne & Co., Stationers, South Street Seaport Museum.".
