Brown full leather binding with gilt lettering and small gilt decorations on spine. 5 1/4" x 8." 246 pages, complete. Three Appendices included in the back. Former owner's signature in black ink on title page. Pages and covers are clean and intact overall. Pages are age-toned and lightly foxed. Covers have some wear to edge and corners. Front outer joint is cracked the whole length from head to tail but is holding. Back outer joint has a split measuring about 1 1/2" from the tail. Slight chipping to head and tail of spine. Gilt lettering and decorations are a bit faded. A Very Good copy. A collection of discourses about Protestantism in the British colonies (to become the United States), the "planting" of the sciences in said colonies, and Protestant sermons and devotions. Topics also relate to the concerns of the colonies leading up to the Revolutionary War. Discussions in this book also name the College and Academy of Philadelphia.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good.
