A fine copy in the rare variant pictorial d.w. by E. Verdilleur. As opposed to the normally encountered d.w., which has the large mythological bird armorial on the front panel, and the towers on the spine, this has a large 1/2 length representation of the hero holding a cane and tophat, with the armorial shield behind him, and two crossed heraldic flags on the spine.
