Timothy Sheldrake, Jr (the younger) (1759-1806) was a trussmaker of some distinction whose practical experience won him the respect of several influential physicians including Hunter and Baille. He became a frequent contributor to The Lancet and was involved with fitting Lord Byron with a device for his lame foot. It is said that early on an imposter impersonating Sheldrake made Byron a useless appliance boot. Ex library (stamped on versos and title page). This is a tight, very good book.
