Dated May 12, 1904 letter (8 1/2 x 11 inch) signed with The Detroit Times letterhead. Addressed to Mr. Edward Frensdorf, it concerns a property in Hudson, Michigan that a local railway wants to place a branch line over. Seems the property is worthless. James Schermerhorn (1865-1941) was a longtime Michigan newspaperman. Among the papers he worked for was the Hudson Gazette, the Detroit News, the Detroit Free Press and founded the Detroit Times in 1900. He was also an author of several books.
