Stephenson has signed under the frontis photo with both names. (Chirupula and J.E. Stephenson) he has also signed on the title page where he has also inscribed "justice of the peace". on page 205 of the book he has corrected the text in his own hand. there are no other inscriptions and the binding is strong. unfortunately the boards are very worn and marked. there is a little light foxing and some age related marks in the text. complete with all illustrations. Stephenson was credited with founding the town of Ndola in Zambia and was an extremely colourful character. he died in 1957.. Book Condition: Fair. Binding: Hardcover.
