The comparison between Apartheid and Israel is dealt with at length in Shimoni's work "Community and Conscience: The Jews in Apartheid South Africa" (2003). Rudolph is mentioned briefly in that work. Rudolph, Harold Geoffrey (1947-2011) Johannesburg’s youngest ever mayor at 38 years, and an Associate Professor in the Wits School of Law, Rudolph became mayor during Joburg’s centenary in 1986 In 1984, he earned an associate professorship in the School of Law after the publication of this thesis under the title: , Security, Terrorism and Torture,
