This is a mint copy of a 1948 Old Gold Cigarettes Jackie Robinson card with a black and white picture of Jackie Robinson on the front including his mimeographed signature underneath the following statement: "For a treat instead of a treatment......I recommend Old Gold cigarettes. Jackie Robinson". On the rear of the card is a 4 paragraph bio stating that his was signed to the Dogers early in 1947. The card is listed on page 292 in the 2004 SCD. There are actually 2 different poses of Robinson known, the more common "dugout" pose ( which this card is) and a very rare "jumping" pose with a different bio on back. The card is in excellent condition, no creases, tears or scribbles with a bright and vibrant tone to the photograph. Image available upon request.
