Condition of hardcover binding: Wear, age toning, soiling (a few small stains to bottom of back cover), rubbing, and shelf wear. Light bumps to extremities, two corners bumped. Spine (paper) mostly cracked/torn. Minor cracking of hinges. Offsetting to first free and rear free endpapers. Bump to top corner of text block. Pages are in very good condition with clear readable text and beautiful illustrations throughout (no page tears, writing or underlining). Book free of stickers and bookplates. Not a former library book. Nor does it have the old musty or smoke smell (from smokers). Fold-out map (that's laid in) condition: One side has short tears/chips/curling of paper. Overall, creases from use; age toning. Virtually all of the map of old West Point is readable. Here is a wonderful, historical, uncommon book and fold-out map that are very collectible.
