Walter Poucher has been climbing and photographing mountains for nearly half a century, and is Britain's most famous and prolific mountain photographer, with some thirty books and many thousands of pictures in book form to his credit.He has
photographed most of the peaks in Britain and Ireland,and has worked extensively in
the Dolomites, The Alps and the Rockies, both American and Canadian.Wales has been a haunt of his for the past forty years, and this book - only his second in colour (then 1981) - is a companion volume to the best-selling Scotland which was published in 1980.
